Dear Friends,

Thank you for your support over the past year and a half.  Marie and I have been overwhelmed by your generosity, hard work, and dedication to making Georgia a state that we can be proud of.

Last night wasn't the outcome we hoped for, but today I'm reminded of the Apostle Paul when he said, "I have fought the good fight, I have run the good race, I have finished the course and I have kept the faith."  Thank you for taking this journey with me.

I know you'll join me in congratulating Nathan Deal and wishing him the best for the future.

Tomorrow is Election Day and we have just one question for you: What time will you be voting?

Newspapers across Georgia, have endorsed Roy Barnes and reiterated their longing for another Barnes' governorship - one that created 235,000 jobs, cut property taxes and boosted teacher salaries.

As we enter the final three days of the campaign, Roy is crisscrossing the state to reach every Georgian before Election Day.

Last week, Roy kicked off his Make Georgia Work Tour - a 14-city tour of the state by bus and plane.  Watch the send-off from Marietta here:

Thursday night, Roy--along with a few hundred supporters--went down to Perry for the Georgia National Fair Gubernatorial Debate.  Roy arrived earlier in the afternoon, determined to see some cows and horses.

It was a great afternoon, but the debate was even better.  Roy gave a command performance and the energy in the audience demonstrated our continued momentum.  See for yourself - we've included a few pictures and media coverage below.

Roy arrived early Thursday afternoon to walk through some of the livestock exhibits.  Here, Roy talks with local dairy farmers about his cattle.

Prior to the debate, Roy rallied with supporters outside the main gate of the fair.  The crowd came from all over the state and helped fire Roy up prior to the start of the debate.

Hundreds of Georgians gathered in Reaves Arena to watch the debate - and Roy supporters were in full force!

Today, Roy accepted the endorsement of Georgia Conservation Voters as he unveiled his detailed water plan along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.  Water is a crucial issue facing our next Governor--and we need a leader with a plan to secure our water sources and solve our water crisis.

Every day, more and more Independent and Republican voters are joining Roy 2010.  On Sunday, Peach Pundit blogger Clint Murphy wrote why he can't support Congressman Deal for Governor and will be voting for Roy...

Roy issued the following statement this morning:

Marie and I are so grateful for all your thoughts and prayers.  Our prayers continue to be with the other families involved.  I'm focused on my family right now, but will be back on the trail tomorrow. Thank you.

There are a lot of issues our next Governor will face, but restoring our state's economic prosperity is chief among them. We need a Governor with a background of job creation and a comprehensive plan to Make Georgia Work.

Roy's record as a jobs creator is solid: he created 235,000 jobs for Georgians, despite the post-September 11 economic downturn.  Only three other states created more jobs during that period.

Roy and Marie added two members to their extended family in late May: Molly and Polly, two Polled Hereford cows.  Now, both are expecting and Roy is offering you a chance to help name the calves.

This week, Roy has traveled the state talking jobs with Georgians.  Today, he unveiled his comprehensive plan along with a new TV ad that highlights his vision of job creation.
