Roy Barnes Endorsed by Newspapers Across Georgia

(October 31, 2010) MARIETTA - Newspapers across Georgia, have endorsed Roy Barnes and reiterated their longing for another Barnes' governorship - one that created 235,000 jobs, cut property taxes and boosted teacher salaries.  Dogged by scandal and corruption, Nathan Deal's abuse of power and financial mismangement would preoccupy him as soon as he took office.  As the Marietta Daily Journal put it, Deal would spend more time paying off massive million dollar loans and "fending off serious allegations" than tackling the important issues that face our state.

Roy 2010 Releases Closing Ad

(October 25, 2010) MARIETTA--On Monday, as Roy Barnes traveled through Middle Georgia on a yellow school bus, his campaign released their closing ad entitled, "Honored."  The ad draws a clear contrast between the experience and integrity of Barnes, and the Washington-style corruption that continues to plague Congressman Deal.

(October 21, 2010) MARIETTA--Congressman Nathan Deal’s new apocalyptic ad sinks to new lows, reminding voters of the brutal ad he ran against Karen Handel in the Republican primary. Congressman Deal’s attacks on Roy Barnes’ appointees show that Nathan Deal apparently thinks his own son is corrupt. The press should ask Congressman Deal a simple question: “Given your questioning of the integrity of judges across this state, do you think your son, Honorable Jason Deal, is corrupt?”

Congressman Deal Likes to Give Himself a Leg-up in the Workplace While Keeping the Glass Ceiling Intact

(October 19, 2010) MARIETTA--When it comes to the workplace, Congressman Deal knows all about how to make an office environment comfortable.  For instance, in his Congressional office, Deal voted at least six times to increase his salary to the tune of $21,000 and he used office time and resources for personal gain.  So it comes as a shock that Congressman Deal wouldn't want to afford women the same workplace standards and perks.

Another Straw On the Camel's Back: Nathan Deal Fought Roy Barnes' Domestic Violence Act

(October 18, 2010) MARIETTA--Last week Roy 2010 released a new ad exposing Congressman Nathan Deal's attempt to gut Georgia's rape shield law and strip women of their basic protections.  Unfortunately, the rape shield isn't the only time Deal tried to impede the justice system for Georgia's women - on four separate occasions, he voted to oppose domestic violence bills.

Roy 2010 Reports Nearly $8 Million

(October 7, 2010) MARIETTA-- On Thursday, Roy 2010 reported raising a total of $7.82 million in Roy Barnes' race to become Georgia's next governor.  In the third quarter, Roy 2010 raised $2.86 million.  Ninety percent of contributors were from Georgia and 54 percent of the contributions were $250 or less.
